It would be better if IB/TWS tech support members on this forum could comment. Not sure how come they didn't reply/commented on this issue.
Technically speaking Its data bandwidth and the refresh rate and graphically its FPS-Frames per second.
Why do you think that data originates from different source? As that will create another issue such as data integrity.
Quite interesting......so architecturally if there are multiple paths/routes/pipes for data, data itself is present and one path/pipe is working and other path/pipe is not working then.
Not sure if TSLA volume has any correlation with number of IB's accounts which got the data feed.
IB/any other brokerage account holders didn't increase with TSLA trade volume.
I don't think it is a ticker related issue, as i also notice it on multiple of stocks on NASDAQ as well as NYSE exchange. Seems TWS is not able to relay the data to display it on charts, because you still can see the data (Bid/Ask/Mid/spread) etc in your portfolio. So the data is being received...
I think the bots without proper machine learning must have started sell off. And along with high beta stocks, rest of the market got into panic sell off.....that might have caused users with zero commission to continue sell off.....cascade effect.
