Anyone remember the Eurex 5 yr bobl squeeze on the March 2000 expiry? An absolute bloodbath on a manufactured CTD squeeze. Bobl went up 90 ticks in 30 mins while the Bund went down 5 or so. The callendar spread was no help either. I got long the beginning and took a 6 tick winner, then it...

I trade on CBOT and Eurex via X-trader and use CQG data for candlesticks. If anyone can give some feedback on the speed/reliability of the CQG trade platform, I would be most grateful, as it would save me about nine billion dollars in TT licensing fees. Success, CB

Is Refco Connect really that toilet? Even for Eurex? I made the switch to X-trad in '99 and haven't looked back. How do the 2 compare? BTW, I am on TT through GH in Vancouver, BC and it's a great setup. I think you have to invest c$350,000 and you are good to go in Canada...

$500 for CQG with all the trimmings. $550 for TT (X-trader) $100 for 2 seperate DSL connections. But I trade on 3 different futures exchanges on 2 continents. ...but IB is sounding better by the minute. Success, CB

I second Let it run's statement. Couldn't have said it better, except maybe I would have used the term "fisting" quite a bit more. But if you must find out, trade for as short of a time frame as poss; the less exposure to the 'high jinks', the better IMHO. Success, CB
