Perhaps for you, who has just shown up here on ET. But for us who have been around awhile, this lack of volatility and lack of volume is creating famine conditions for those of us who like to leave each day flat.
The great thing about this service was not only was it FREE but that it had one of the best breaking newsreaders in the business. He only spoke when there was something tradeworthy and he was usually ahead of the pack.

Somebody whined loud enough to Daddy Nasdaq and got all their "erroneous" trades cancelled. Meanwhile, anyone who happened to buy below 20.73 and sell anywhere above that is now synthetically short the stock. Crap like this makes trading treacherous and the NASDAQ should not have caved.
According to Bloomberg, NASDAQ investigating possible erroneous trades in RMBS around 1:30 EST. Once again, the error was leaving some idiot in charge of trading while the other traders at the fund were out to lunch.
No I was watching the TOS and the level 2 as it happened. Some MM/ECN was crossing the market with huge shares to sell at 15.75 then one minute later the same MM/ECN was trying to buy huge share amounts back above 23. Pathetic doesn't begin to describe that scenario.
Vix is at a 15 month low. You are collecting very low premiums considering the capital you will be tying up for the next 12 months. Why not wait until VOL picks up and collect a little more premium for your efforts?
This happened at least once in the past. Hopefully their server is just down temporarily. But who knows. Hooking up with a free service does have its pitfalls.
I hope that's not what's up. Their reader is the best. He's not only quick but RELEVANT. No endless blathering that is so often the case with the paid services.
Anyone know what happened to newsstrike. The Reader signed off one minute before the 10:30 numbers. Very unusual. Now the site is no longer accessible?
