Questrade’s looking for your multi-leg ideas

I think you need to reduce the cost first. People with small orders won't be able to execute multi-legged options, as the cost is prohibitive. Simple example: If I want to do an iron condor on questrade, assuming I'm a small account, it's going to cost me more than the potential profit of...

Figuring this out - Dual Vega Option Spread

I ended up finding / reading the old threads on this, and it was quite entertaining! lol I guess I will just stick with my regular strategy, at least I know very well my risk / reward, and trade within my comfort zone. Sorry for creating a new thread on this, I will use the search function...

Figuring this out - Dual Vega Option Spread

Hi All, I heard of this "strategy" from a friend, and after spending countless hours on TOS trying to "reproduce" it, I gave up and start thinking something is fishy... Here are the details, they call it "The bric": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3zJBU-DYUYs It is a boring video...

If you are doing it just to "collect" the...

    collecting premium / cashing out

you are selling options and buying risk. if you want to survive in this game on the long run, you better be prepared to when something bad happens and your option goes deep ITM. If you are over leveraged (1st newbie mistake), then you blow up! :)

Taleb -Black Swan on $1,000 per month

certainly far out of the money, and short term will give the best bang if the black swan happens. Silver is a recent example, there was a thread here that someone bought $0.25 options, sold them at $5, but in the end they went all the way up to $37. That would make a 100x+ return in a few...

http://naaim.org/files/2010/N-001.doc I'm trying to figure out how to test this with ETFs (will probably end up doing it manually I guess). Opinions on the paper?
