For NBIs, are you sure they cash-settle them? I thought that it would essentially be a basket of stocks delivered at time of settlement? For example, if you were playing the semiconductor sector, it would basically be a future contract representing 3 to 9 stocks such as Intel, etc...and at...

Options expire at the end leaving you with nothing if you don't exercise it...SSFs are futures which delivers or cash settles on the settlement date, thus you get the stock if you decided not to trade the contract...so if you long MSFT's SSF for example but did not go your way, you have many...

I browsed around SEC and other related links after reading this post, I wound up reading a bunch of these so-called "research reports on daytraders"...you would think that these would be written in such a way that presents the fact with no bias, but the language it was written in suggested...

CNBC is clueless, I think those guys should be on Leno's Jaywalking segment on the Tonite Show.

it's pretty jacked up what the media does to our brains...I really wish to be patriotic and back up my country, but lots of time I don't know if I am being fed BS by the news, the papers, and the politicians! How do one take pride in a country that feeds its citizen with lies and doubletalks...

yea pretty amazing that the word "War" means potential profits in the US, whereas anywhere else it means pack up your sh*t and prepare to move out of your home and into a shelter if the bombs start coming! Imagine that one day the powers shifted and the war is being fought on our land in cities...

I also think that it is very difficult to teach someone while you are trading, I mean how do you explain to someone the thousands of thoughts and decisions that goes on in your brain when you make a trade...it would literally take hours to go over the knowledge and experience behind the action...
