Wash Sales in 2012 -- Trading 1 stock only

A question for the community regarding this rule. How did you guys enter this into form 8949? Any sample examples of what form 8949 should look like by adding the wash to the cost basis of the new stock, with the appropiate code, would be helpful. The tax industry seems to be clueless about it...

    Flash Crash Trading

Hey thanks for the feedback. I predicted that the SEC would intervene to make it not work even if I did pull it off. I guess I just needed a 2nd opinion to confirm it.

    Flash Crash Trading

What about a secondary system where you allocate a small amount of your trading capital into daily equity long trades that you set at ridiculously low prices for the sole purpose of capturing the extremely rare event of a mini flash crash? Like a stub quote, but with alot of volume. On a...

Day trading as a living should be impossible

$1000.00 if you are single. $3,000 if you have kids. If you cant afford that many kids on that monthly budget, then you are probably on welfare anyway, or have very spoiled kids.

    I am a deflationnist...

You like most have been brainwashed into the belief that somehow, more expensive housing is a good thing. Once you see things through an undistorted lense, it becomes clear that housing inflation only leads to economic instability. As for workers, they will be forced to take a lower paying...

All your homes belong to us says wells fargo

Lower property value means lower property taxes. That will be a day I look forward to.

    I am a deflationnist...

Exactly. That's why grocery stores always have sales. They sell too much when the prices are higher. In order not to run out of items on the shelf and create a panic, they need to lower sales by lowering their prices.

    I am a deflationnist...

WRONG. If you know the house is going to go up in value, will you go into debt to buy one? Yes. Fast forward to today and you have massive housing deflation. Deflation always wins. You cannot fight it. With cheaper housing, people can afford to work for less and still keep a house over...

    I am a deflationnist...

Connect the dots. Deflation in any market equals more sales. More sales equals more tax revenue. More tax revenue combined with deflation equals a balanced budget. A balanced budget equals long term financial security. Financial security equals job security.

Any drug to help make u a better trader?

If you rely on drugs to trade, how well will you trade when you do not have access to those drugs? Sounds like a bad idea to me.
