it takes years to automate your signals. I am sure all Prop Firms are trying to get their quants to work on some new auto generated programs right now with the new market change. Everything has changed. And it's time to change with the market. But to be a new prop trader is very difficult right...

2)Liquidity is drying up
3) Funds are in cash
4) False moves
5) Why try to guess the trend now? it is probably headed downward into the next Recession in a couple of years.

Everyone is starting to lose confidence with this system with Firms that require having to put "Money Up" "Contribution" "Training Fee" because of HFTs and those that have access to your positions to trade against you.
Until the SEC fixes this, maybe confidence will return and Investors...
You want my advice and opinion? Those Prop Firms registered with the CBOE that require to take the 56 will not survive in this always changing industry.

I am for a free market but when it comes down to those taking advantage of the system well they shouldn't be in this business. We all have to play by rules, why so these these people think they don't have to?
I'd like to see trade blotter before assumign someone knows how to trade.
IF an Investment Advisor has to disclose their assets to public why not make Prop Firms in the business of selling services publicly disclose their trade blotter?
Would be nice if the Regulators can inform the Public if the Firm is Financially stable? I mean the Firm publicly solicits and markets their training programs for a "Fee" why not publicly disclose their financials?
And that includes the other two Subgroup and every other educational Firm...

Is it true when u have Groups of Subgroups Trading firms hire programmers to create an "algo" to trade against the other group. I have heard so many stories about this. Trade by trade the other firm swipes their money.
