How precisely would you define bucketshops?

I read somewhere that DAX is a total return index and S&P 500 price return index. Though I know the difference between these two, I want to know which one you think is better for making overall gains.

Theoretically yes, but you know many ECN brokers - and I’m talking about the ones offering tight spreads - have painfully slow order execution. Are they really no dealing desk brokers then?

So I’ve been doing my research and there are a lot of brokers offering zero spreads. That’ll do I guess.

What if I want to avoid spreads at all? Is it possible?

My ECN broker says there will be a dealing desk involved. I hope I’m trading with the right one.

You do need to get your facts checked @Justin. They don’t interfere between either of the two is right, but as they offer a direct communication, their services prices are quite high.

How do you guys make money trading indices?
