I am being transferred to IBIE as well, and couldn´t find any explicit reference to any change in margin requirements (vs "old" account in IBUK) in those docs
What concerns me the most is that I´ve got a notification from IB saying that due to the transfer from IBUK to IBKR's new European broker due to Brexit, margin requirements for a given portfolio can vary by IBKR broker due to a variety of factors, including exchange, regulatory and house...
BTW, any suggestion on APAC indexes for option trading? (on top of Aus XJO already mentioned on this thread).
What about Japan´s Nikkei, HongKong´s Hang Seng or India´s Nifty?
FTSE index for the UK is pretty liquid (not as any American index though).
My personal suggestion would be to trade also German DAX or European Stoxx50. Both are also liquid and their ATM IVs are usually higher than SP500 or RUT.
All these are european style options, no auto-exercised if ITM...
