Thanks much for replying. I know that it "trades" electronically but I don't see any bid or offer and there is absolutely no volume. I also know I can bring up the pit contract but I can't see any bid-offer there either. How do I know what price I will pay?

If I want to trade the Oct 07 lean hogs contract which does not trade electronically how do I do it (as a retail investor)? Are there any brokers that are much better for pit trading? Is there a way to do it in IB? Thanks in advance for answering a noobie question.

Thanks much for replying. To answer your questions: my trading capital for f/x is about 100k for now, I am a director at a hedge fund that trades lots of stuff (equities, fixed income, futures and other derivatives...) of which f/x makes up a small part, I am an academic by training (PhD Econ)...

Could you explain this to me? Isn't the interest rate differential reflected in the futures curve? A short futures position in the Yen collateralized in USD should have a "roll yield" equal to the USD/JPY interest rate differential, no?

It seems you are correct. I can't figure out how I missed that. The pegged to market order that I've done before is also only available through BRUT, though I've done orders at my day job through INET that are pegged. Are there any brokers that allow pegging outside of BRUT? Thanks again...

I'm interested in submitting a buy order (for example) that will submit a limit at whatever the best bid is (peg the bid). I can do something like this at IB, but instead of specifying a peg on the bid I peg with an offset from the offer (so it will submit a limit order to buy at offer -...
