Thanks for all the replies. I will be using thinkorswim for my platform. I work nights and that job covers all my bills with a little extra spending money. Some very valid points about goals. I should also note that I am not married, don't very much debt and am willing to stay in my shoebox...

I am currently raising capital to begin trading on my own and decided to come here to ask a few questions and to gain some insight into what real traders think. My goal for the first year of trading full time is $40,000-$45,000. Is this goal realistic? Thanks for the input.
