IB vs Questrade (9.95$max commission) and order routing question

My mistake on that typo, I did mean per share, not per trade of course. You know what, as of late 2019 Wealthsimple came out publically saying that they don't sell order flow. Previous to that date I couldn't find their position on this and the only no commission and no order flow sale broker...

IB vs Questrade (9.95$max commission) and order routing question

WealthSimple sells order flow - lots of evidence it costs clients more than IB's $0.003 per trade.

    what platform for CFD?

It doesn't matter what your experience is, that is how regulated CFD firms are allowed to operate. If their program sees an aggregate of stops near the "CFD spot" they can widen the gap by manufacturing volatility to cause stops to be hit. Maybe a firm being "regulated = safe" is good enough for...

    what platform for CFD?

Why trade CFD's when you can trade stocks with better leverage at a legit trading firm? Also CFD providers "make up" price points and will stop clients out any way that is legally possible plus typically have higher costs per trade. You'll always make more with direct access to markets.

IB vs Questrade (9.95$max commission) and order routing question

There are firms in Canada with a lower cost per share pricing than IB for day traders. If you are just investing or swing trading then IB is probably fine.

Elon Musk, 2nd richest guy on planet, on Bitcoin

At some point in learning the process, I'm sure Musk will think "Why don't I just make my own coin".

Confused with lots of metrics, Which Portfolio is best?

Use portfolio 2 when the market is overbought and use portfolio 1 after the market takes a beating.

What routes do you guys (and gals) use?

You should have only been charged for the filled shares. Imagine posting a 1 million share trade and only getting 1 share filled and get charged for the full million haha XD.

What routes do you guys (and gals) use?

I specialize in trading tech stocks, so the former ecn's are usually enough. However, trading goog/amzn/nflx/tsla can be sketchy with wide spreads, and sometimes BATS is just the next best fill is all.

What routes do you guys (and gals) use?

Typically if you cancel the remainder and are stuck with 50 shares you are allowed to sell 50, but you can't open a new ticket to add another 50. You should be able to add 150 though. Either way, you should only get charged for shares traded even if it's partial.

    SMB Capital

I've never personally dealt with them but they know what they are talking about. Their baseline free info is really good, I'm sure their paid info/training is worth taking. Keep in mind it seems they focus on writing options so if you don't have capital yourself, say at least $50K post leverage...

From $1.9 million to $440 million.....

Airbnb is probably the most bubbly of them all. How can the company be so overvalued when people are being driven back to hotels with better rewards programs, coupled by the fact that almost no one used airbnb for most of 2020. The people who typically use airbnb are looking for deals because of...

    Netflix suggestions

Messiah was really interesting, especially at the end. But Netflix canceled it, sigh. Mindhunter is great, still waiting on the 3rd season. Since you liked these two then you'll probably enjoy Dark. It is one of the most intricate, mind-boggling, and original shows I've ever watched. If you want...
