Interesting chart. I would like to see a chart that attempts to "normalize" P/E for different interest rate levels. I don't think you can use absolute measures of cheap or expensive P/E when short rates range from <1% to greater than 15%.

Yoohoo - I don't think you're understanding 'zero sum'. A positive sum game implies a net increase in wealth across all participants. In horse race betting as in other gambling there is no net wealth increase. Arguably the same is true of trading. However, investing is positive sum.

I know nothing about McClellan oscillators but in researching them I see they are derived from stock market advance-decline numbers. So why apply it to Yen? It makes no sense.

I remember when the bond futures closing at 3pm (NY) was a big deal (years ago) but now with electronic trading extending well beyond 3, I don't see the need for bond traders coming into the S&P then. Something does seem to happen starting at 3pm but I don't think its bonds anymore.
