Any one ever read any good books or literature or know where to access some about the prop industry, mostly what the qualifications are?

FOREX gives you 50:1 leverage so if you can manage your risk well enough it's do-able. There is a guy i recently had pointed out to me on a site called Aussie Stock Forums named Trembling Hand and he scalped with about 1K and ran it up to 50k in 6 or 7 weeks.

Larry Williams ran 10k up to 1 million in a year, and wrote about it in his book How I made 1 Million Dollars Last Year Trading Commodities.
