Clear double bottom formed @ $29 as predicted.

Nice bounce off $29.20 today. There is a nice uptrend starting from yesterday's $29 low.

Entry at $29 - $29.10 Stop loss around $28.70 Hoping for shorts to cover before earnings. Just need a little momentum off $29 for shorts to realize $29 is the bottom (if it is). There is a huge short interest on Dell, so once it breaks through $30 I think this will be a nice momentum...

Huge short interest. Possible double bottom at $29. Earnings February 16th. Could see a nice bounce with covering if it can hold $29 the next few days and move a little higher.

Check out this post a former employee from Dell made, apparently you can get a 20-30% discount every day.

I doubt they would increase prices. They focus on large volume working with an efficient supply chain.

There is no excuse for the amount of downtime due to technical failure. I don't know the speicifics, but if hosting companies can offer close to 100% uptime you would imagine Swift Trade with the amount of money being sent through in transactions would have their servers up just as much as any...

Well said, have you considered you could have just as easily had your first -1G day? Or maybe you've already had a few of those :D I'm a new trader too and I have been burned trading stocks like this. You can make a lot of money but at the same time you can lose a lot. And as Hydroblunt...

Why did the system go down? Was it a routine job or a software upgrade that went wrong? If it was the latter, bad day to upgrade the software considering they could have waited one day and done it over the weekend to ensure there was no down time.

There are some books listed on this site http://www.elitetrader.com/bo/ You wouldn't recommend any of them? What about reading some of the topics here? It's still a little early, but I realize I'm going to get out of it what I put in...
