An interesting read about technical analysis.

I just got an e-mail back from the guy at stenslandsystems.com and he says that he is working with private investors now, also with financial type companies, and is shopping around ideas for a few books - one of them on technical analysis.

An interesting read about technical analysis.

I know that Kibble (is that the right name - Kimble?) was related to it and in the past he has had issues. He runs publicity stunts a lot to try to garner money, so perhaps the trendax.com site was just something along those lines. http://www.stenslandsystems.com does seem to be legit though...

An interesting read about technical analysis.

I had been away from EliteTrader for a bit due to work and came back recently to try to get caught up a bit. I checked out my old posts to see if anything had been updated and on this one remembered these two sites that I had mentioned...

Data feed that is just data?

Thanks - I did look at all of those and had written some off since their developer support is only COM based. IQFeed is something I only glanced at, I will look more closely - and also go back to look at the other sites like Quote.com again to see if I missed anything. Thanks!

Data feed that is just data?

Does anyone know of a data feed that is just the data accessible over the net? I have looked around and a lot of them offer their own software that will grab the data, and then perform some limited range of functions on it. Then there are options like QuoteTracker that does that, but...

    Trading for other people?

Thank you for the prompt reply. I will try to talk these people into that account then. I will need to read more on it. I don't live in the States, so I would assume you mean the state in which the person putting in money lives.. Is there a place that I can read about this - or any...

    Trading for other people?

What are the legal and tax implications if I trade someone else's money, even in someone else's account? Say I have a series of people, friends and aquaintances, that like the way I invest, and want me to apply those same principles to their money. Theoretically I could start a hedge fund and...

    stochastic %D slowing?

So the way they denote the %D having periods of 5 and 3 likely means that the %D is acting on the %K which has a period of 5, and then it smooths that with a period of 3? Good link, thanks.

    stochastic %D slowing?

I am familiar with the use of slowing on the %K, but I've been looking at www.wealth-lab.com and their "DynaChart " (http://www.wealth-lab.com/cgi-bin/WealthLab.DLL/dynachart?params=ODP;0;;;0;;;0;;;SF;5;3;C;15;;DM;15;;) as an example. They have Fast StochK(5) and Fast StochD(5,3) line. I...

    DMI/ADX consistently works

I've been using the demo version of the realfasttrader/speedtrader software and it seems pretty impressive. It looks as if it is excellent straight off the bat up until about 11-noon depending on what you look at. Then it is pretty bad the rest of the day so far. I'm seeing that I'm still...

    DMI/ADX consistently works

So you are saying that you have no qualms with there being a negative DX value? I've seen an example of it on I think optionstrader.com or something that didn't have the absolute value reference in there, but it seems an oversight to me. It is a directional indicator, and the name (pdi -...
