    Getting paid triple swap

I must be missing something. So on the usual Wednesday NY 5pm swap rollover, if I go and purchase a pair where I get the best swap payment just before rollover time and close it just after, do I get almost risk free swap payment? Or do the spreads widen, or maybe the pair goes up or down...

When stop loss doesn't trigger and price improves:)

Thanks, d08. I think I need a particular subscription on IB to get a previous day's time and sales - I just tried. (I don't need it enough to subscribe.) I think you likely hit nail on head about it in post #10 on this thread. It makes sense and sounds like good feature to somewhat reduce...

When stop loss doesn't trigger and price improves:)

Good idea - Yahoo shows Thursday low 35.67 at 9:32am, but it was a huge wickless green candle (looking at 1 minute interval chart), with extremely low volume. The candle ended at well over stop loss at 35.81 (also the candle's high). So actual shares traded at below my stop loss likely even...

When stop loss doesn't trigger and price improves:)

No error in my data, as such... remember I'm talking of the Thursday low, not Friday (sorry I think you're aware of that, but to be clear). I'm unsure if that 35.67 low could represent something outside regular trading hours or some other unorthodox transfer - that's why I checked it out on...

    lol could be that simple.

When stop loss doesn't trigger and price improves:)

I could see it in the low of the lowest candle on IB for the date - and also checked it on a separate website (Yahoo) before I wrote all that to be sure. Yes, a sell stop loss.

When stop loss doesn't trigger and price improves:)

So my 35.70 stop loss did not trigger on ARMK. On 18/7 it did briefly nudge below that to 35.67 at start of day, then shot back up. At this point it remains above my stop loss. My question is why my position was not closed by IB? Obviously I'm perfectly fine (and HAPPY) it was not closed on...

Submitting new buy stop orders where my cash cannot cover all orders

Ok thanks HobbyTrading that's what I assumed and just wanted more experienced brain to confirm. Normally my pattern entries are such that I enter a given order around a third of the time on a particular day. Where possible I want to be fully entered, not sitting in sidelines in cash. My stop...

Submitting new buy stop orders where my cash cannot cover all orders

Oh? It definitely lets me enter pending orders greater than my available cash. Thing is it's an Australian account - they took margin off non-business traders for Aussie accounts. I'm not sure it's strictly a cash account in US sense. Aussie non-business accounts might get their margin...

Submitting new buy stop orders where my cash cannot cover all orders

Hello All:):):) I'm still new to Interactive Brokers; I only have a cash account with them (no margin allowed). Question is: say I have 30k cash in my IB account and I submit 5 pending orders (could be going long or short) that total say 50k, is there any possible problem? Obviously it's good...
