Selling naked calls OTM & covering them just before ITM?

Yeah Also I will add I’ll write a program for this, I won’t watch the market and submit the orders personally so emotions and human errors are out of the question.

Selling naked calls OTM & covering them just before ITM?

Well I won't start to hedge at expiration, but any time before if the price gets sufficiently close to the strike. I want to avoid having to own the underlying since a dipping underling can outweigh the gain of the premium, but once the calls are ITM I definitely want them covered. The point of...

Selling naked calls OTM & covering them just before ITM?

What overhedge or a short put are you talking about? The amount of underlying will correspond exactly to the number of calls (*100). Also not sure why are you assuming the potential gains will be low. I won’t be selling index or MSFT options …

What loss are you taking about? I’m not going to buy them back, I’ll let them expire and keep the collected premium.

Yeah I mentioned already that’s a risk right in the beginning. But just don’t trade some biotechs.

Why would you need a time machine lmao? If the price approaches the strike price you buy the underlying. What’s so impossible about that?

Selling naked calls OTM & covering them just before ITM?

I’m not planning to buy back the calls, so I don’t see how their price change will affect me. If we trade near 4230 I’d buy the underlying to mitigate the unlimited downside of previously naked calls.

Selling naked calls OTM & covering them just before ITM?

I don’t see which short options strategy is a realistic way to generate a stable income. They either carry a significant downside risk, whether covered or not, or in case of spreads the premium is greatly diminished by the hedge, while often not completely eliminating risk, like in case of...

Selling naked calls OTM & covering them just before ITM?

As the title says, I’d like to sell naked calls far OTM and cover them by buying the underlying if the price approaches the strike price so that they’re covered when ITM. Why this strategy? If I have to buy the underlying I want it to be in an uptrend. I don’t mind having it recalled if the...

Cyprus - taxes on full time trading?

Ask the Cyprus tax authority directly. I asked them specifically about day trading, since in many countries that's considered an income / business, not capital gains. They confirmed me it's really 0% even for day trading. I'd say it applies also to futures.

The new German derivatives trading tax law

Also just the US can tax its citizens even when they don't live in the country. Only the US and Eritrea does that.

The new German derivatives trading tax law

That’s exactly because trading is not being seen as a business. Only making things or providing a service is considered a business. The EU is full of marxist lunatics. 52% of Germans dislike capitalism, Germans don’t approve of risk taking in general, having anything to do with finance and...
