hi i've said this before elsewhere - my answer to 'self sabotage' type behaviuor, fear of pulling the trigger etc was to read all of ruth barons roosevelts books she is a trader and mentor to traders and her books are fantastic - i thought my problems were soley pychological however it turns...

after huge losing streaks and a determined effort to fix my pychology and yes i did need it - it turns out i just had a system i found that did not suit my trading profile; now to start again with a new strategy developed by myself and i have come full circle......

ninja trader can help with back testing and modelling don't think u can use it for automating live buy/sell orders though but great for testing ideas

for getting the right mindset i like ruth barons roosevelt books they are excellent and for tech analysis alexander elder as well as van tharp already mentioned

has options trading a higher success rate than intra day trading? is one more riskier than the other?

have also tried to go down this route and find it cheaper to 'earn as you learn' - without the exhorbitant proprietary fees for training etc(and the firms i looked at tended to have a bad rep.....) have also done seminars, ebook corses and books and the most effective training has come from...
