Nissan Securities Contracts with Trading Technologies to Distribute the TT® Platform

TommyR, The TT REST API does not allow for polling for market data at present. If this is what you are looking for, there are other solutions which are better suited. For example, you could use our FIX solution (http://library.tradingtechnologies.com/tt-fix/System_Overview.html). We are also...

    Develop DIY Algorithms—Safely

Sorry for the delay. Been a pretty busy week. As for #1, #2, #4, and #5, a colleague of mine is going to respond as this is in his area. As for #3, some FCMs offer this already for the 7x platform. The new platform is an ASP model and will offer the ability to do what you describe. We are...

    Develop DIY Algorithms—Safely

There is no cost for the historical data server software. There may, however, be a charge from the firm who hosts your TT software. Think of ADL as a trading software library written and tested by TT. Of course you can write this library yourself. Or you even can write directly to the...

In terms of performance, it's not the necessarily the number of symbols as much as it is the amount of market data traffic. For the best possible performance, you should co-locate your Algo Strategy Engine on the same server as your TT gateway.

You can use the Time & Sales block to get tick data which you can feed into the Value Extractor and Value Bucket blocks to extract and store. And you can use the Analytics block to get live and historical bar data.

Gambit, ADL does not currently offer this but we do plan to offer it in the new platform. Right now it's looking like a 2016 deliverable. Let me know if you'd like to get an early look at it. We're always soliciting users to preview designs as early as possible to ensure that we get it right.

ADL is used by hundreds of professional traders every day to create, deploy, and launch algos. If all of the negative comments posted here were true, this wouldn't be the case. For further information about ADL, see here. We are always adapting the design and features of our products to...

    Develop DIY Algorithms—Safely

I think that you're missing the point of ADL. ADL isn't designed to allow you to do everything a low level programming language does, but it does allow you to rapidly develop automated trading strategies by stitching together building blocks that convert to well-tested code. This allows you to...
