Can your broker follow you if you get good results?

IB makes $2 - $5 in commission per trade. If they front run trade, they will make at least $500 per trade. I fail to see your logic.

    Tom Demark Sequential Indicator

Nice article. Exactly what I find as well, that not all stocks work well with TD indicator. So it's not a general indicator you can just apply to any random stocks. But I have a screener to backtest all 8000 US stocks to find which one works with TD indicator.

If you could have just one indicator, which would it be?

Trend Reversal and Exhaustion indicator (aka TD sequential)

    Tom Demark Sequential Indicator

I concur. TD indicator is the single most accurate indicator I came across and tightly built into my system. I don't pay hundreds to Bloomberg though, I use a 3rd party tool Trend Reversal and Exhaustion from screenulator. Just as good, and only fraction of the cost.

Thanks everyone for the reply. I think I am now more confident about using my broker. I will definitely keep using market orders instead of limit orders. I've missed too many opportunities using limit orders.

Not sure what you are saying. The "fraudster employee" can just use his own trading account setup to automatically execute trades following yours. Can this be done?

Can your broker follow you if you get good results?

Anyone who has access to client's trading history database can do this. They can copy it and do a screening / analysis offline. Then target those "good traders" next time they enter a trade. I am thinking the only way to know if someone is front running you is to measure your average...

Can your broker follow you if you get good results?

I'm not saying definitive, but just a suspicion. I have no doubt their company policy does not allow front running. But what if some employee does this. How do we know this will not happen?

Can your broker follow you if you get good results?

I do, and it works on backtesting. and for the first two weeks of real trading, then last week, its performance diminished by 50%. I think if I change to another broker, the performance might return because my old broker can't follow my trades anymore.

They don't need to reverse engineer, they just have to front run your trade. If your strategy has been 90% for 2 weeks, and showed up on their rador. Say next time you enter a buy order of 200 shares, they will put through their order 1000 shares buy first, then execute your order, so you will...

Can your broker follow you if you get good results?

I'm not new to trading, but new to day-trading, especially with small cap stocks with relatively thin volume. Something just occured to me... Can your stock broker (such as Interactive brokers or E-trade) copy their successful client's trades? thus rendering a successful strategy useless? Your...
