So my other kid is sick today. No trades, and unfortunately today's rule worked as it should have (contrarian short).

Crazy move in the Globex session. Will watch for some exhaustion on the 15-min chart, but want a good entry. And this is technically one of the less predictable days...setting up like post-Brexit...

I got the stomach bug Sunday night so no trades for me yesterday. Signal is a very mixed one today. Doesn't always mean no good trades, but it means it's not as predictable as some days so I try not to chase or guess. Will have to see where it opens within yesterday's fibs.

No trades today. Sick child and signal was not a strong one.

So, I just did a short analysis of my trades in January-February to date. Good lessons in total I think. I need to stand down on 1 particular setup that has been popping up a lot since the beginning of the year. I have some rules, but until early January I wasn't even trying to trade...

Mistakes chasing/second-guessing. Not disastrous, but not great. Turning off computer and off to exercise or something.

Today my signals are mixed so I am waiting for some directionality at the open. If spikes up, have a small, small fade planned. If hesitates or falls, plan for continuation up, but only after a dip, and possibly quite deep into yesterday's range. One setup would have buying at the open with...

And it didn't. I see sort of a red flag, but I will just note with my journal and notes on rules. I cannot put so many exceptions in that the rule is mooted. If expectancy changes significantly, then need to consider, but for now, leave as is. So probably done for the day.

Looking for retest of 58.75-59.25. 100% of my samples retest or have entry after 9:00 so I am watching it. Today feels a bit different, in which case I'll kick myself, but holding to my rules to keep positive expectancy.

So, looking at probably a 2-sided day unless ES opening higher than 58.75, then will be more directional. Could still be directional, but will need to see if ES puts in something like a tiny double top or has a reaction around, 58.75 and just falls...then more likely to be two-sided. Today...

I meant it didn't revisit -138% so I didn't get filled, not that there was an issue with the order itself. Just not aggressive enough. I struggle with widening stops so look for conservative entries and sometimes miss the move. That's one of the things I'm working on. I'm profitable trading...

I didn't get my retest at R3 today. I think most days like this I used -100% or -138%, which coincidentally was right by R3. So had that on the brain. Frustrated that I keep getting near fills. I think it's a bit of perfectionism that I'm still fighting.
