Excellent reply. How long have you been using TradeStation? Do you allow TradeStation to automate your trades? In terms of frequency, what time frame are we talking about for "high" frequency...intraminute?, intrahour?, intraday?, etc.

Like I said, I've been in the securities industry for a while now. I am quite aware of the difference between a limit order, stops and the like. Thank you. My question is posed to those who have backtested a system, forward tested the system on paper, and then actually traded the system...

The trainer is in real time and is apparently identical to the real deal save for executions. (FFastTrade...no plug) I use stop limits for entry and regular "get the hell out of Dodge" stops for exits.

I've been using a "trainer" trading platform and I have serious concern over the validity of my trades actually occuring in the real world. I've been paper trading anywhere from 5 to 20 ES contracts and usually take 1%-5% daily whereupon I "hang up my hat" for the day and start over to seek...

Does anyone else out there in EliteTraderland use FFastTrade? I need help with stop loss issues.

I totally agree with you on the risk management...mental stops are for the birds...you should be able to place some kind of mechanical stop-loss. How have you been able to set them? Do you use the remotepro or the online?
