I've been trading my $50k account trying to make $500 per day. I haven't bought and used a stock screener yet. I'm making about $300 per day on non-gap days, and on gap-down days, seem to be losing around $500 per day. So no more of this as this isn't what I'm looking for. I need to...

Also, I should mention that I'm looking at this end of day be flat orientation because I used to trade for myself with many overnight trades, and I just don't like the volatility any more ... For example, I shorted TLT throughout the day yesterday, but ended flat ... I was 75% confident...

I only mention Trade-Ideas because I've read they are very good and seen a demonstration a long time ago ... should I look into another scanner? Is there better?

Thanks for all the replies. I was more curious as to any others who were doing something similar with Trade-Ideas or a stock screener and whether that was a realistic amount? In other words, assuming a person found a reasonably good strategy, would the commissions, execution issues...
