Does IB close accounts associated with low tax jurisdictions?

I asked IB support and they told me:

Does IB close accounts associated with low tax jurisdictions?

Reading through that thread re-gains me a little more confidence. It seems like they are mostly targeting non-US persons due to a recent fine by the US gov. And Panama is blacklisted. Other jurisdictions seem to be okay. I think wrapping the company in a US LLC may be fine because it's already...

That's weird, I've never experienced that. Opening the account was pretty straightforward after I gave all the relevant documentation. I know bank accounts though can be difficult to open as a non-US person.

Maybe BVI would be the safer route to go then instead of Panama, Seychelles or Belize.

Does IB close accounts associated with low tax jurisdictions?

I've heard a few people recently say that their IB company accounts have been shut down because their companies are located in Seychelles or Belize. DAS and TOS

What's the benefit of DAS over thinkorswim? I know a lot of people use DAS and swear by it. I haven't ever used it myself and from first glance didn't really see anything superior over thinkorswim.

    Ninjatrader for Mac...

Thinkorswim by TD Ameritrade supports mac, as does TWS by Interactive Brokers. If you want something generic for Mac, MotiveWave is probably your best bet unless you run virtualization software.

IBKR Lite now has access to TWS

IQFeed is very reliable. If I was starting over I'd look more into Polygon.io. I wouldn't bother too much with free data sources.

IBKR Lite now has access to TWS

IB Pro supports institutional accounts, better margin rates, better order execution, API and advanced order types. Until IB Lite is on par with IB Pro, I'll continue to pay commissions. Which one is best is really going to depend on the type of trading you do.
