    Iterative Refinement

ljyoung, First of all, I really appreciate your reply and if you felt offended by my remark I sincerely apologise. All I meant to say was that like most (everybody?) of us you also seem to have no clear understanding of what a PA means, although you clearly described what you think it is. But...

    Iterative Refinement

Well, I have read every single post on this thread and the 2007 thread and there is no definition there for PA. In fact, I don't even have a rough idea and nor do you as is clear from your last posts. And I suspect most of the participants of this thread don't know what a PA is exactly. I...

    Iterative Refinement

So how is this defined? During a dominant movement: Bar 1 volume = 20000 Bar 2 volume = 20001 Is this a pace acceleration?

    Iterative Refinement

I'm sure there are some other things as well, like if we completed the sequence of traverses. But since you are apparently very familiar with this method, I was hoping you can shine some light on the 'Pace Acceleration'. What is the definition?

    Iterative Refinement

I understand that the 'P' are only a signal for change when they appear at the right position (so not before a Pt3), so indeed they are not all a signal for change. But that was not my point. My point is that there is a clear definition for 'Peak Volume. That is not the case for a PA.

    Iterative Refinement

@romanus Thanks for taking the time to respond to my question about PA and posting these links. However, I had seen these posts before and none of them contains a definition what PA actually is. I HAVE seen a clear definition of 'peak volume', and that is (Volume[0]-Volume[1]) >...

Romanus, What is the definition of "Pace Acceleration" and why is that present at 15:50? Thanks!

Profit from market neutral options writing - possible or not?

Thanks, that thread is full of good information! And btw it seems to confirm what I already thought.

Profit from market neutral options writing - possible or not?

Well, that is a good question. These same people claim that the option prices are skewed in favour of the option writer because the majority of the option buyers are supposed to be n00b retail investors and the majority of the writers are professionals. However, even if this is true I would...

Profit from market neutral options writing - possible or not?

Hi, I know some people that make their money by every month writing out of the money calls and puts on an equity index. The intention is to make profit on the decay of the time premium. It is supposed to be a market neutral strategy. As long as the priceswings of the underlying equity...

My Goal for 2008: Trading to Trade Well

You are completely right! I have stopped trading some time ago when my results were not good. I concluded that it was not just due to some bad habits. The key point is that I used strategies that were simply not profitable. Time to step back and find a strategy that does have an edge. You...

Hi Spyder, Many thanks for your comments. So in this specific example you would do the same: wait? Are my annotiations correct? I'm still unclear under what conditions an FTT would become a point1 and when a point3... Could one say as a rule that when the current channel is an...
